Grants

The Madison Trust for Historic Preservation awards annual grants of $1000 for restoration, rehabilitation, or preservation projects in Madison, Wisconsin and surrounding communities.

Grant funds are usually awarded to one project per grant cycle, but may be divided between two projects. The grant may be used for materials or labor on a project that rehabilitates, restores or preserves a historic property while maintaining its historic integrity and character.

Grants are available to private owners, and non-profit organizations.

No match is required for these grants.

Projects must be completed as described within one year of the grant award.

Applications are due February 28. Grant awards will be announced by March 31.
