100 State Street proposal – Do something
The Overture Foundation’s proposal for the 100 block of State Street is a destructive approach to the most important block of the city’s most important street. The people who will decide whether the proposal is approved take their cues from public sentiment. Letters and emails are very effective.

A simple letter, email, or phone call telling them that the historic character of State Street is important and this proposal is too corrosive will go a long way in influencing their vote when the proposal reaches the Council.
- Landmarks Commission: Two of buildings proposed for demolition are designated Landmarks. The developer needs the approval of the Commission to demolish them. Your comments will be passed on to Commissioners and added to the public record.Tell the Landmarks Commission that the historic State Street district is important, and ask them to deny the demolition of 100 block buildings and Landmarks.
