Historic Architecture Tours
2013 season runs May 25 through September 28!
Explore Madison’s historic neighborhoods, commercial districts, and the UW’s traditional campus with experienced and enthusiastic docents. Our tours have become a highlight for visitors and residents who want a deeper look at Madison’s cultural, architectural, and development history.
New tour for 2013 – New this year is a walking tour of the Sunset Hills neighborhood, a post-WWII subdivision filled with architect-designed mid-century Modern homes.
This season’s schedule features a tour every Saturday throughout the summer, and “Twilight Tours” on Thursdays at 6:00.
Our tours are exterior. We do not go inside buildings.
Schedule: See our calendar on this page.
Reservations: No reservations are required for scheduled tours. Simply show up at the starting point at the scheduled time. Please call ahead if you plan to bring a large group, so we can be sure to have enough docents available.
Costs: Tours are $10 for adults, $5 for students and seniors (60+), and FREE for MTHP members. (memberships begin at $30. Join online!)
Specially arranged tours: We are happy to arrange special tours at unscheduled times as docents are available. We require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the fee for the expected number of guests. Please call 441-8864 for further information.
