Historic Architecture Tours

Time to lace up your walking shoes and do a few quick stretches: our 2015 tour season begins Saturday, May 23rd!

Explore Madison’s historic neighborhoods, commercial districts, and the UW’s traditional campus with experienced and enthusiastic docents. Our tours have become a highlight for visitors and residents who want a deeper look at Madison’s cultural, architectural, and development history.

New tour for 2015 – Our new tour of the Orton Park neighborhood debuts this season. Explore a sampling of many different housing styles from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, anchored by this beloved park that once served as Madison’s first cemetery.

This season’s schedule features a tour every Saturday morning at 11 AM throughout the summer, and “Twilight Tours” on Thursdays at 6 PM. Tours are rain or shine; bring an umbrella or dress appropriately if it looks like rain.

Our tours are exterior. We do not go inside buildings.
