King Street: The Beginning

Teh King St. area is where early businesses and newspapers thrived. In humble log cabins and cast-iron storefronts and art deco skyscrapers, see where Madison began and where it reinvented itself through the years.

The one-hour tour meets by the granite arch at the corner of Webster, Doty and King Streets, across from the Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company.

Cost:  $10 Adults,  $5 Students and seniors (60+),   FREE for MTHP members.  (A basic membership is $30. Click HERE to join.)

Special arrangements: We are happy to arrange private tours as docents are available.  We require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the fee for the expected number of guests. The balance of the fee will be based to the actual number of guests.  Please call 441-8864 for more information.
