Educational Events

The Trust's educational events provide our members and the public with opportunities to learn about historic preservation through webinars, seminars, and workshops.

These include best practices for the restoration and maintenance of older and historic homes; how to contribute to historic preservation work happening in your community; discovering your own architectural history; and a better understanding of local, state, and national designation tools and resources.

Every building in Madison has a story, it's just a matter of knowing where to look for information. This workshop + tour will walk you through online and print resources that can help you discover the history of where you live.

Madison Architecture Presentation

Madison Trust Event | Are you interested in learning more about the architecture of our city? Jason Tish, former Madison Trust executive director, will discuss various architectural styles found in Madison's buildings and neighborhoods. This informal presentation is tailored to walking tour docents; however, it is sure to be informative and interesting to anyone wishing to discover more about our local historic architecture.
