“Historian Gary Tipler, with support from the Madison Trust for Historic Preservation, has offered a 23-page landmarks nomination that the city's Landmarks Commission considered on Monday with a unanimous recommendation to the City Council to make the designation. The council could make a decision as soon as Jan. 9.”
