Madison is not the only city in the United States that faces important issues related to historic preservation. Our nation’s capital has proposals popping up on a regular basis. The National Trust for Historic Preservation is encouraging people like us to weigh in on the “Monumental Arch” (a/k/a “Triumphal Arch”) that is proposed for a sensitive spot in Washington, D.C. Written comments must be received by the National Capital Planning Commission by July 8 in order to be considered at the NCPC meeting on July 9.
